I was sitting at the blackjack table between hands when the older gentleman next to me decided to share.  He stated that ever since I split my 10's (the dealer had a bust card showing) he'd not had any luck at all.  He thought it was stupid of me to do so.  He said he was sorry, but those were his feelings. 

I turned to him and replied that I did not ask him what he thought I should do with MY cards or MY bet.  Looking over the rim of my glasses, I then told him that I did not ask for his opinion or feelings and certainly did not give him permission to criticize me.  However, if he was into sharing, I'd be glad to share my feelings with him right now.  He blanched a bit and excused himself from the table to find entertainment elsewhere.  

ANOTHER APPLICATION SUBMITTED

I've submitted another application at the place where I do training in my field.  Actually, it is for the Detox Center in the same building.  I'm ever hopeful and full of optimism.  All the same, do wish me luck, please.

REDUNDANT

I was let go today from my full-time gig.  I wasn't expecting it, but here we go.  I see it as an opportunity to try something else.  I have already applied for benefits and submitted my resume for another position.  We'll see.  In the meantime, please update me with any leads you may know of in the Denver-Metro area.  TY!

WELCOME BIANCA TO THE FOLD!

Bianca is the newest addition to my life.  She is a brilliant white '09 Chevy HHR... I call her the HOT HOT RIDE.  I found her at Rocky's Autos and they were able to beat my pre-approved car loan from the Credit Union by about 5 whole percentage points!  We've been together a week tomorrow and I couldn't be happier.  She is smooth, solid and doing great on fuel.  So far this weekend when I filled up the tank, we're getting better than 27 MPG combined.  Here is her first official portrait:

I have cleaned up the old ride and put it up for sale on Craigslist.

IN THE MARKET

I'm looking for a car... I have three in mind and saw one yesterday.  I would like to finish up before the end of December, as the dealers are anxious about getting rid of vehicles.  I should be able to get one at a decent price, right?  I know what I'd like and also what I need.  Then again, I'm not going over my budget for anyone.  I did get the loan pre-approved at my credit union, so it will be easier to negotiate a deal.
